Get Home Whitening At Battersea Dentist

First, the dentist will take an impression of your teeth, and within a few days your custom home whitening trays will be ready. The whitening gel should be worn for approximately 6–8 hours. Before bedtime, brush your teeth as usual, then place a small, pinhead-sized drop of gel into each tooth compartment of the tray. Fit the tray over your teeth and leave it in overnight. If any gel touches your gums, gently remove it with a cotton bud.

If your teeth are not sensitive, you can continue whitening for six consecutive days or until your gel runs out. Sensitivity may develop after the first day; if this happens, simply take a break for a few days and then resume the treatment.

Continue the whitening process until you reach the desired result, usually after about six applications. The full treatment should not exceed two weeks. During this time and for two weeks afterward, avoid red, yellow, or dark-coloured foods and drinks, as well as very hot or cold items.

Specifically, avoid coffee, tea, red wine, and cola, as well as foods with red or yellow colouring, such as tomato soup, curry, and ketchup.

After chairside whitening, an at-home kit can be used to maintain your newly brightened smile. A professional hygiene session may be required before starting the at-home maintenance.
